VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA – Spectrum Therapeutics Australia (Spectrum), the medical division of Canopy Growth Corporation (Canopy Growth), is pleased to announce the launch of its e-commerce platform featuring the Storz & Bickel Volcano® Medic 2 and the Mighty® Medic vaporisers, the only registered devices on the ARTG, for vaporisation of medicinal cannabinoids.
With a 20-year track record of breakthrough innovations, Storz & Bickel, also owned by Canopy Growth, is internationally known for its design and manufacturing. Storz & Bickel has spent the last two decades developing an automated and internationally certified factory, achieving ISO 13485 certification in 2009.
Storz & Bickel was the first company to manufacture cannabis vapourisers to internationally recognised medical device standards, including the iconic original Volcano Medic, which has been used in cannabis research worldwide for 10 years, and are registered in multiple jurisdictions.
Spectrum Therapeutics is committed to ensuring a consistent, quality and regulated supply of medicinal cannabis products is accessible to patients in Australia. “When health practitioners are considering dried medicinal cannabis flower as a form of administration, it is important to ensure that registered medical devices, manufactured to stringent medical device standards, are available for patients,” said Ben Quirin, Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Canopy Growth.
